I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Engineering Education at Virginia Tech, advised by Dr. Qin Zhu (LANCSET).
My research focuses on compassion in STEM education, in which I will use methodologies from Human-Robot Interaction and Engineering Education.
I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science at the Colorado School of Mines, where I was advised by Dr. Tom Williams (MIRRORLab).
My research focused on human-robot interaction, in particular I explored robot identity presentation, multi-robot interactions, and robot control interface design.
Generally, I am interested in how human-centered design can be applied towards developing technologies that are catered to users and their interaction needs.
